SENTIENCE HOLSTERS BLACK SEED OF LIFE
These are the result of literally years of planning and development to refine the design.
My goal was to completely consider all the elements of what makes a holster the most useful accessory in our collection of daily wearable art. Holsters were one of the very first items that we developed for Idol Wares back when we were first entering the design game, so obviously we appreciate the concept. I've had a lot of feed back over the years on ways to improve usability and we made many subtle and major changes to our Spirit Totem holsters (See other listings) to get them to the place they are now.
The Sentience is all together different. We made them fully adjustable. We reshaped the pockets to be more like a kidney bean, with front access deep pockets for your phones. We added easy access snap pockets for small frequently needed items. We made the entire body of the pockets softer and more ergonomic. We gave a new positioning for the linkage of the back to be more comfortable along the length of the spine. We made all the straps removable to give the option to wear as hip bag, single hand bag, or double holsters. This concept was first made 5 years ago for a custom order job... and took all this time to actually go into production.
We wanted to keep the themes of styling that Idol Wares has become well known for, but offer something that is more accessible to our clients. We wanted a system that allows stream lining for wearing over or under jackets. We wanted pockets that allow for sorting your stashes more easily on the go. This all came together in the Sentience.

Limited edition holster features
Our holsters are created from the softest luxury quality leathers. We hand select each hide in small batches, meticulously scanning the surfaces to ensure the most beautiful and flawless finished pieces are utilised. Every holster is handcrafted with a base backing material to add strength and provide shaping, whilst maintaining the natural ultra supple finish of our full grain hides.
The pockets are all fully lined with soft cotton, satin or silk fabrics to protect your belongings.
The grommets below main pockets serve the purpose of being able to attach additional clips and chains to your harness to allow a more secure fit if you choose, the options are plentiful for hanging more amulets and embellishing to your individual taste.
Integrating all the elements into a functional and beautiful wearable art piece was our intention, through years of refinements we believe we have succeeded in this. The placement of the pockets, with zippered main compartments, create a safe container for your most precious items to be held close to your body. The cuts of the panels are well adaptable to varying body types and can be worn over jackets, or raw to the flesh. The threads are high quality nylon for enhanced longevity and strength.

Carvings are made to order, ensuring uniqueness and personalized touch for each product.
Skilled tailors from three main families assemble the holsters, with meticulous cutting, braiding, and stitching.
Idol Wares' team works from home with flexible hours, fostering a positive work environment.
Fairly negotiated work contracts ensure sustainable relationships, our workers set their own hours, not factory sweat-shop conditions. They receive substantially higher pay than the local median and have set their own requested contract terms in agreement with Idol Wares.

We use minimal packaging to avoid excess waste. All items are sent in our custom black and gold satin bags which are reusable and collectible. No excess labelling or swing tags or boxes or bubble wrap. Sure it looks nice opening a fancy box but it takes up more space, and creates a lot of junk, so please don’t be surprised when your item arrives without the fluff, we think the items are what you are purchasing and they speak for themselves, not the packaging.
