Spirit Totem - Chakana Medicine

Product Feature Description:

- Ancient Incan Symbol: The product features the Chakana, an ancient symbol representing the Incan culture.

- Representation of Incan Worlds: The Chakana symbolizes the three worlds of Incan cosmology: the lower world (Uqhu Pacha) associated with the underworld and death, the middle world (Kay Pacha) representing human life, and the upper world (Hanan Pacha) encompassing the stars, celestial beings, and gods.

- Revered Animals: Each quarter of the Chakana is linked to revered animals that correspond to the three worlds. The snake represents the lower world, the puma symbolizes the middle world, and the condor embodies the upper world in the sky.

- Three Incan Commandments: The third quarter of the Chakana symbolizes the three fundamental commandments of the Incas: "Don't steal, don't lie, and don't be lazy."

- Human Principles: The fourth quarter of the Chakana represents essential human principles: "Love well, seek knowledge, and work."

- Representation of Provinces and Stars: The four arms of the Chakana designate the four provinces of the Incan Empire: Chinchaysuyo, Kollasuyo, Antisuyo, and Contisuyo. The ends of the Chakana symbolize the four main stars of the Southern Cross, a crucial constellation for the Incas, who believed it was the center of the Universe.

- Symbolic Elements: The four arms of the Chakana also represent the four classical elements of earth, air, water, and fire, as well as the four cardinal directions and four seasons: winter, spring, summer, and autumn.

- Representation of Duality and Center of the Universe: The light and dark shades of the upper and lower halves of the Chakana represent the duality of the world (yananti). The hole in the center denotes Cusco, known as "the navel of the Inca Empire," symbolizing the circle of life or the center of the Universe.

- Widely Used Symbol: The Chakana was extensively used in various aspects of Incan culture, including building decoration, embroidery, and jewelry.

- Special Solstice Phenomenon: In Machu-Picchu, there is a half-Chakana that, during the solstice, casts a shadow forming the complete Chakana, adding to its significance and mystical allure.
